Our coaches are trained professionals who offer the support necessary to make challenging goals achievable. They enable the reflection and awareness needed to define personal goals, develop a plan of action, and navigate the journey ahead. Our coaches give you the knowledge, guidance, skills, tools, and self-confidence to improve your wellbeing.

Does health coaching work?

Scientific studies have shown that health coaching is one of the best ways to make and sustain healthy lifestyle choices. Health coaching is shown to substantially improve self-motivation, health behaviors, and health outcomes, while reducing health cost.

Health coaching has traditionally been face-to-face. Studies have shown online coaching to be equally effective. As a result, health coaching is moving online, overcoming location and schedule barriers.

How to know if I need a health coach?

The first sign that you may need a health coach is the constant lack of holistic health and well-being, which means being physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially fit. In other words, if you (or your loved one) have been struggling to meet your health goals, losing productivity, feeling anxious, depressed, or confused, and facing issues at work or in your personal life, it is time to seek help and start working with a Ginger-U health and wellness coach. Do not suffer in silence. Instead, act now to take control of your life.

What does a Ginger-U health coach do for me?

Our coaches help you gain insight into your desires and motivators. They enable you to create a vision, a set of goals, and the requisite action steps—all in a safe and supportive environment. The full breadth and depth of the coaching work can comprise:

  • Clarifying what you would like to achieve, considering your vision, values and purpose

  • Outlining how your coach can help you on this journey

  • Developing a personalized plan to move forward

  • Accessing your natural talents, core values and motivations that fuel you

  • Understanding and overcoming blocks

  • Rewiring limiting beliefs and old patterns that no longer serve you

  • Tuning your personalized roadmap based on what you learn (i.e., to ensure a solid step-by-step guide to achieve your goals and aspirations)

How are Ginger-U health coaches trained?

Our coaches are National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coaches. The NBC-HWC certification is the most respected training and education credential in the profession. They also hold one or more specialization certifications.

Cancellations, Rescheduling, Refunds, and No-Shows?

Cancellations: To cancel a session, you must provide the health coach at least 24 hours' notice to be entitled to a refund.

Rescheduling: To reschedule a session, you must notify your coach 24 hours before your scheduled appointment. If you do not provide at least 24 hours' notice, you forfeit the session and will not be refunded for a missed appointment.

Refunds: Refunds at no fault of Ginger-U incur a 3% processing fee, unless otherwise indicated.

No-Shows: If you are late for your scheduled session, you will be allowed a 10-minute grace period. However, the grace period will count toward the duration of your session to avoid delays in other appointments. If you are more than 10 minutes late, you will be considered a no-show, and your session will be canceled. As a no-show, you will not be refunded for a missed session.
